WE HAVE A FLOOR!!!! I never ever thought I would ever be so excited to say that we have a floor for our house. I can tell you, since I last posted, we have had a couple more hiccups but nothing like the crazy cement company giving us the shaft for a better job. Now, in saying that, we had rescheduled for that Saturday after the other company cancelled. Well, it rained the Thursday before, and not just a little rain. As my husband says, "it was a toad strangler". So, we rescheduled for yesterday, which was Friday. The new cement company had to come out on Thursday to make sure the road/long driveway was going to be able to support the 15 truckloads of cement that had to come through to the pad site. Aaannnd, there was a problem. There was one weak spot in the road that they were concerned about, so we had to reschedule, AGAIN, for this morning at 4:15 (and during the day on Friday, Travis fixed the spot on the road by adding more rock to make it more sturdy). That's right, you didn't make a mistake when you saw the time. 4:15 A.M. Travis had to meet the guys up at the site at 3:00 A.M. to make sure that there were lights for them. Again, you did not make a mistake is reading the time, 3:00 A.M. Then, Travis had to leave around 7:00 to drive to Dallas for continuing education hours. To say I appreciate everything he does for our family would be a definite understatement! Allie also had a slumber party for her birthday last night. Our family has a crazy lifestyle right now, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!
The framing for the house is scheduled for Monday. I hope it happens, but at this point, I'm learning to be extremely patient through the frustrations. There are things that are always going to be out of my circle of control, and even though I want to control it, only God has the say in that.
In the Bible, it shows that Jesus performed 37 miracles, now, I know He has given you miracle #38, because, again, we finally have a floor!!!!
